Your Rating

The MULTIWELD 320T is a true multi-process machine: it supports MIG/MAG (solid wire), flux-cored (cored wire) and MMA (stick) welding. This flexibility makes it suitable for fabrication, repair and workshop use across a wide range of jobs.

The machine welds steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Typical wire diameters are: steel 0.6–1.2 mm, stainless 0.8–1.2 mm and aluminium 0.8–1.0 mm. Flux-cored wire (reverse polarity) is supported from approx. 0.9–1.2 mm.

The MULTIWELD 320T is a three-phase unit (400 V) with an output range of roughly 40–320 A. Typical duty cycle figures are 240 A at 60% and around 200 A at 100% (manufacturer figures vary slightly by model/version).

Yes — the unit features an integrated 4-roller wire feed system for smooth, reliable feeding. It accepts Ø200 mm reels (≈5 kg) and Ø300 mm reels (≈15 kg), making it compatible with common workshop spool sizes.

Typical kit contents include a 4 m MIG36 torch with EURO connector and an earth clamp and cable (4 m / 35 mm²). Some packages also include basic consumables — check the product listing for the exact supplied items.

Yes — the machine carries an IP23 rating, which means it is suitable for outdoor use with reasonable protection from rain and spray. Its reinforced wheels and handles also make it convenient for workshop-to-site movement.

The MULTIWELD 320T includes a pre-installed 36 V / 4.2 A socket for a gas heater when welding with pure CO₂ (heater not included). This helps maintain consistent gas temperature in colder conditions.

hints and tips for using GYS MULTIWELD 320T MIG Welder

Set your wire and voltage to match material thickness

For the cleanest welds, consult the welding guide tables and start with the recommended wire diameter and voltage for the material thickness you’re working with. Make small adjustments to voltage and wire speed until the arc looks stable and the bead profile is pleasing.

Use the correct wire rolls and feeder settings

Fit the appropriate feed rollers for the wire diameter (the 4-roller feed gives excellent control). Make sure spools are seated correctly and the drive pressure is set so the wire moves smoothly without slipping or deforming.

Choose 2T or 4T trigger mode for comfort

Use 2T for short welds when you prefer trigger control, and switch to 4T for long runs so you can weld without holding the trigger the entire time — it reduces hand fatigue and helps maintain a steady travel speed.

Protect gas and consider a heater for CO₂

If you use pure CO₂ shielding, the pre-wired heater socket lets you add a gas heater to avoid condensation and inconsistent flow in cold or damp conditions. Stable shielding gas flow prevents porosity and improves bead appearance.

Keep the machine ventilated and clean

Regularly clear dust and spatter from vents and fans to maintain cooling efficiency. A clean machine runs cooler and lasts longer — check rollers, liner and torch contact tip for wear and replace consumables when needed.

Practice with scraps before important welds

Before starting a critical job, run a few test beads on scrap steel of the same thickness to check settings, gas flow and travel technique. It’s a quick way to avoid wasting material and ensures better first-pass results.
