You will need some pliers to clamp the hose clips and potentially a spanner to unscrew the silver push fitting on your regulator.
The included braided hose is designed for low-pressure gas flow from cylinders and is not suitable for high-pressure applications.
The hose connector tail has a G1/8 thread.
Some customers only require the M10 male brass adaptor within this kit and connect it to the hose that is supplied with their welding machine.
We have had this previously and customers manage to make it fit by dipping the hose in hot water and squeezing it over the adaptor. This allows for a snug fit to ensure no gas escapes.

Hints and Tips for Using Hose Adaptor Kit
Choose the Right Gas Cylinder
The Hose Adaptor Kit works smoothly with disposable argon, argon/CO₂ or CO₂ cylinders. Selecting the correct cylinder type for your welding setup helps keep gas flow steady and predictable.
Check All Fittings Before Installation
Before attaching the hose, take a moment to look over the adaptor, hose clamps and braided hose. Making sure everything is aligned and free from damage helps support a secure connection from the start.
Attach the Hose Gently but Firmly
When placing the hose over the fittings, ease it on without forcing it. A smooth push gives the best chance of creating a reliable seal without stressing the hose.
Warm the Hose if a Tighter Fit Is Needed
If the hose feels a little tight, especially when connecting to equipment like Zapp jewellery welders, dipping the hose end in warm water for a few seconds can help soften it. This makes it easier to slide on while still providing a snug, secure fit.
Use Basic Tools for a Secure Finish
A simple pair of pliers can help tighten the hose clamps evenly. If your regulator has a push fitting, you may also need a small spanner to remove it before connecting the adaptor.
Ensure the Hose Is Fully Seated
Once the hose is pushed over the adaptor tail, make sure it sits far enough that the clamp can tighten around the smooth section. This reduces the chance of leaks and keeps gas flow consistent.
Work Within Low-Pressure Applications
The braided hose in the kit is intended for low-pressure gas flow. Using it within this range supports both safety and long-term performance of your welding setup.
If the Hose Seems Oversized for Your Welder
Some welders have smaller inlet fittings. In these cases, customers sometimes choose to use only the brass adaptor supplied in the kit and connect it to the hose originally provided with their machine.
Check Compatibility with OxyTurbo Regulators
This kit is designed to pair well with various OxyTurbo regulators. Confirming your regulator’s connection size helps ensure everything fits together smoothly.
Test for Leaks Before Welding
After installation, briefly open the gas to check for any escaping air. A quick spray of soapy water on the connection points can reveal small leaks, helping you correct them before starting your project.
