Each cylinder provides approximately 30 minutes of continuous welding at 6 LPM. Adjusting your gas flow to the minimum required for your project will help extend usage.
An 80% Argon, 20% CO2 blend is ideal for MIG welding mild steel. It offers excellent arc stability, low spatter, and good penetration, resulting in cleaner welds and minimal post-weld cleanup. The Argon component provides arc smoothness, while the CO2 improves penetration and productivity.
This mix is primarily designed for MIG welding, particularly on mild and carbon steels. While Argon/CO2 can technically be used for TIG in limited cases, pure Argon is recommended for TIG welding, especially on aluminium or stainless steel, to ensure clean and precise welds – the pure argon and regulator package can be found here.

Yes, replacement Argon/CO2 cylinders are available individually or in packs of 3 or 6 for added convenience. You can find them here.
No, these cylinders are disposable and non-refillable. Once empty, they should be replaced and disposed of according to local hazardous waste regulations. Most recycling centres will accept these but if you are unable to dispose of these – feel free to ship them back to us to dispose of them for you. You can find our address here.
For UK Mainland orders, this product is typically sent via Next Working Day Courier service.
