The package includes:
- 2 x Argon/CO₂ disposable gas cylinders (2.2L, 100 bar each – 80% Argon, 20% CO2 mix
- 1 x Twin gauge regulator with 4mm push fit hose connector
Each cylinder provides approximately 30 minutes of continuous welding at 6 LPM. Adjusting your gas flow to the minimum required for your project will help extend usage.
An 80% Argon, 20% CO2 blend is ideal for MIG welding mild steel. It offers excellent arc stability, low spatter, and good penetration, resulting in cleaner welds and minimal post-weld cleanup. The Argon component provides arc smoothness, while the CO2 improves penetration and productivity.
This mix is primarily designed for MIG welding, particularly on mild and carbon steels. While Argon/CO2 can technically be used for TIG in limited cases, pure Argon is recommended for TIG welding, especially on aluminium or stainless steel, to ensure clean and precise welds – the pure argon and regulator package can be found here.

Yes, the twin gauge regulator is compatible with our full range of disposable Argon, CO2, and Argon/CO2 cylinders. It features an M10x1Rh connection and a 4mm push fit hose connector for easy installation.
The included twin gauge regulator displays both cylinder contents and gas flow rate (LPM), allowing you to monitor when your cylinder is running low and needs replacing.
Yes, replacement Argon/CO2 cylinders are available individually or in packs of 3 or 6 for added convenience. You can find them here.
No, these cylinders are disposable and non-refillable. Once empty, they should be replaced and disposed of according to local hazardous waste regulations. Most recycling centres will accept these but if you are unable to dispose of these – feel free to ship them back to us to dispose of them for you. You can find our address here.

Hints and Tips for Using Argon/CO₂ Disposable Gas Cylinder & Regulator Package
Set Up Your Gas Flow Gradually
When connecting your cylinder and regulator, try increasing the gas flow slowly. This gentle approach helps you find the right setting without wasting gas or affecting weld quality.
Check Your Connections Before You Start
Before welding, take a moment to make sure all fittings are snug and secure. A quick check can help prevent small leaks and keep your setup running smoothly.
Use the Recommended Gas Flow for Better Results
Most users find that a flow rate around 6 LPM works well for general MIG welding. Adjusting the flow to the lowest level that still gives good coverage can make your cylinder last longer.
Keep an Eye on the Gauge
The twin gauge regulator makes it easy to monitor both the pressure inside the cylinder and your gas flow. Watching these indicators helps you plan ahead and avoid running out mid-project.
Store Cylinders Upright When Possible
Keeping disposable cylinders upright helps maintain stability and makes it easier to connect the regulator. The included plastic base provides extra support to keep the bottle steady while in use.
Match the Gas Mix to Your Welding Task
The 80% Argon and 20% CO₂ blend works particularly well for MIG welding mild steel. It encourages a smooth arc and reduces spatter, helping you achieve cleaner welds with less finishing work.
Use Pure Argon for Most TIG Welding
While the Argon/CO₂ mix can be used for some TIG applications, pure Argon is usually the best choice for precise TIG work — especially on aluminium and stainless steel.
Check Compatibility with Your Equipment
The regulator’s M10x1Rh connection and 4mm push-fit hose make it suitable for most disposable welding gas cylinders. Confirming compatibility before starting helps avoid interruptions.
Replace Cylinders as Needed
Disposable cylinders are not refillable, so once pressure drops, it’s time for a new one. Many users like to keep a spare on hand to avoid delays during projects.
Dispose of Empty Cylinders Responsibly
Most local recycling centres can handle empty cylinders. If you’re unsure, you can also send them back to us for safe disposal. Handling used cylinders properly helps maintain a safe workspace.
